How Beloved Guruji and Sesha Mahaan saved my mother’s life…

Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae

With the belief that HE shines in our hearts,

and that we are One with HIM and inseparable from HIM,

we should free ourselves from feelings of sadness….

With humble Namaskaarams

at the Divine Feet of our Swamiji and Sesha Mahaan…

On the morning of 6th. July 2012, my 64 year old mother, who despite her long years as a diabetic, was quite healthy, suddenly complained of stomach-ache. She took a few common drugs, and went about with her work as ever. None of us could imagine where this would lead us, until she started to pass blood in urine.

At that point too, we supposed she must have contracted a urninary tract infection, and remained unruffled. Just to tread on the safe side, we consulted her diabetologist.

Our worries began, when he grew real concerned about her condition. He immediately wrote out a CT scan. The procedure was soon done, and we had to wait for the reports until next morning.

With mixed feelings we waited for the day to pass.

By evening, she suddenly developed severe pain and cramps in her abdominal area. She could neither sit nor stand, and started to writhe in pain. Immediately we rushed her to a hospital close to home, and was attended to for pain relief, and to arrest the bleeding.

After a harrowing night’s stand, we got the report which read as “Mild Transitional Cell Carcinoma”. In other words, this meant a Cancer of the Bladder.

My mother was to meet a Urologist with this report. He was to declare the final result.

In utter shock and disbelief, I had only Guruji and Mahaan to turn to. While my parents were away at the doctor’s, I was going through a devastated morning. It was a long morning, for all of us.

And, it happened to be the auspicious morning of ‘Guru Poornima’. I was not aware of this fact, until Smt. Mythily wrote to us all, reminding us about this sacred day.

All morning I sat close to Beloved Guruji and Sesha Mahaan, pleading with Them, for my mother’s life. I cried and I prayed, and which parent could there exist, greater than Guruji Himself, Mahaan Himself!

Soon I received a call from my mother who said that the situation was not too bad. The urologist was of the opinion that my mother was fortunate in the sense that the tumour had developed inside the kidney and had not affected the bladder. One other advantage was that there was a solution to this problem. The removal of the affected kidney could save her life! And, he concluded saying a single kidney, thereafter, would not make any difference in her life! He said that a surgery would not be possible if the tumourous growth were to be on the outside of the kidney.

This statement of the doctor’s was my Saving Grace….

An assistant doctor, who talked to me over the phone, told me not to worry, and asked to “Thank God!” She said “It is difficult to thank God during difficult times, but that is when He is closest to us… He would see us through…”

Those were the words of God, I could never forget all my life…

A million humble, loving Namaskaarams to Beloved Guruji and Mahaan, who have saved my mother’s life.

On the 10th. of July, 2012, she took the kidney-removal surgery well, and she is recuperating well, all by the Benign Grace of Guruji, Mahaan and Arunachala…

I wish to especially thank our Dear Samaajam, for their loving prayers, ‘Nama Sankeerthanam’, ‘Annadaanam’, and most importantly, for their reassurance and words of courage and strength, that saw me through all of this.

All through this confusion, on the afternoon of the 6th., I chanced to see the mail sent by Smt. Mythily, reminding us all about this sacred day. I take this as Guruji and Mahaan’s reminder, and a very special thanks to you, dear Mythily!

It was only then, that I realized that on Guru Poornima, – this most aupicious of days, our Guruji and Mahaan have showered Their Bountiful Grace…

Glory unto the Lotus Feet of Beloved Guruji and Sesha Mahaan!

It is only He who can see us through….

With the belief that HE shines in our hearts, and that we are One with HIM

and inseparable from HIM,

we should free ourselves from feelings of sadness.

Warm regards,

Vaishnavi

Swamiji and Sesha Mahaan’s Benevolent Grace upon Harsha’s eyes…

SWAMIJI AND SESHA MAHAAN’S BENEVOLENT GRACE UPON HARSHA’S EYES…

In the year 2009, while in Bangalore, at the age of 4, Harsha was diagnosed as having a power of +4 in both eyes. With a few issues of sensory dysfunction, and at an age when children do not understand what happens to them, Harsha was faced with a great challenge. We were extremely pained.

He had to be on glasses all through the day. He was practically helpless without them.

Harsha was a child who was not in a position to explain to us if his eyes hurt or ached, or caused any irritation to him. Through the course of a few years, constantly nagged by us, with a view to treat his vision, driven by anxiety, much to his discomfort, he was pressurized to be on glasses, under constant vigilance.

We had been praying to the Lord, that He may bring relief to the little child.

We prayed to our Swamiji to bless our child, and very compassionately and lovingly, our Beloved Swamigal, made a plea to Sesha Mahaan. His Holiness then advised us to feed him carrots, on as many occasions as possible. Since then, we had been trying to feed him carrot on many occasions, with our prayers.

Just two months back, we decided to get his vision checked again. This time, in a different city (Chennai), we got a new contact, through whom we approached a new opthalmologist. He was good in handling paediatric cases, and when he examined Harsha, he did not ask us to go through the painful rigmarole of the routine tests. With just a physical examination, he concluded that Harsha’s power in the eyes could not possibly be a +4. He also assured us that even if he did have power in both his eyes, they could gradually be rectified. He stated that Harsha’s condition and performance, could be observed best, by taking him off glasses for a period of a few months. This happened on 22nd.  February, 2012.

Till date, Harsha has been faring well, and he does not seem to strain his eyes.

A million thanks to Guruji and Mahaan, for saving Harsha’s eyes!

The place where the doctor’s clinic was located is called “SESHALAYA!”
